Because also acceptable is the eating of the pork strips with your fingers. The recipe makes plenty of sauce so that it doesn't all dry up and leaves enough to make a mess while you eat it. Sprinkle the onion and parsley on top of the pork chops, and then top with the remaining barbecue sauce. Pour 1/2 the jar of barbecue sauce into the bottom of a 9x13' baking dish, and then lay the pork chops on top in a single layer. The sauce keeps the pork tender & juicy but the sauce caramelizes and the flavours are out of this world. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. All that needs doing is whisking up the sauce, brushing it over the pork strips and baking for 15-20 minutes, turn the pork over and brush the rest of the sauce on the other side and let the oven do the work. Then, when youre ready to cook the pork chops, pre-heat the oven to gas mark 6, 400F (200C), then pop them in on a high shelf and cook for 25 minutes exactly.
